DGC Video x Pac Arts Present: LOVE & POP

From the visionary Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion), LOVE & POP is a radical, dizzying plunge into late '90s Tokyo youth culture. Shot with handheld digicams and warped perspectives, Anno’s live-action debut is as restless and experimental as the teenage ennui it captures. Based on Ryū Murakami’s novel, this film follows a schoolgirl’s frenetic journey through the city’s underbelly—armed only with a cellphone and a mission to buy a topaz ring before the mall closes.
